Slide Score as a pathology slide viewer
Slide Score provides a fast pathology slide viewer with intuitive controls that supports multiple vendor formats. It is designed to get out of your way and let you do your job.
Whole Slide Images (WSIs) are difficult to work with directly. They are very large both in terms of file size and actual number of pixels they contain. Moreover, microscope scanners from different vendors produce files in different format requiring the use of multiple viewing applications.
The whole slide image viewer in Slide Score was built to address these problems. It runs in your web browser so it's not necessary to download the slide files and you can quickly zoom in and pan around the slide using your mouse (or fingers) or keyboard shortcuts.
It supports whole slide images of the following formats:
- Philips ISyntax
- Hamamatsu NDPI
- Aperio SVS
- 3DHistech MRXS
- Motic MDS
- Zeiss CZI
- Leica SCN
- vendor-neutral BigTIFF
These formats are supported directly - without requiring a conversion – this means you can start using the slide as soon as you upload it.
Before you can view a slide in Slide Score you need access to a study that includes this slide and login (optionally using a two-factor authentication).
When viewing a slide it’s possible to share a link with your colleague that gives them a 24 hour access to it. You can also measure sizes of features visible, take screenshots or high quality microphotographs for publications and emulate a field of view as if you looked through microscope ocular.
Slide Score platform provides programmatic access to the images – image analysis software like QuPath can open the slides directly and exchange annotations with the Slide Score server. If you’re working on artificial intelligence models you can use Slide Score API to train your models on slides stored in Slide Score.
